Flipping Grand Bahama

Ok its Friday and it's the best day for the week for some and for others it's the day of reckoning ... did we accomplish this or that for this week? At first I thought I would not write this morning and then I thought, maybe a little more motivation even though its Friday.  This weekend for many will be filled with fun but after that fun what is there. Im looking forward to a few great events happening at the close of this month..  Starting with  Emerge.. a teleconference by one of our very own business coach and speakers Raquel Hart Which is begins on April 25th... all online And then on April 30th at 7 pm Hosted by Glennet Fowler. These two dynamic ladies are going places and asking us to come along. I'm torn for the last day but try one... everyone!

Ok so this is late in April but Im just excited to see so many great things going on in Grand Bahama at the moment. During the Fidelity Free Women's Seminar I left feeling a bit concerned about the future for many women here. One of the predictions that women would be in more poverty struck me to the core.  While I will put aside the reasons I will say the idea that more and more women are trying to find ways to improve their lot in life is the way forward.  How to do that? Bringing up my kids my worries were always how to balance home and work. I worked hard long hours and my kids did not know me when they grew up, despite the fact that I did spend what I thought was a lot of time with them. But the payout was good enough to keep them and myself and to teach them what I thought to be good values. I cannot tell them as good as I can show them what I could like to see from them.
