Save The International Bazaar
There comes a time when all the beating takes hold and the mind succumbs to reinforcements that are all negative. Doubts and negativity are the beliefs of the day.
Then you see the small sprouts breaking the concrete cracks in the pavement.
Its not the impossible.
I'm part of a group that is interested in saving the International Bazaar and recently we started at Facebook page that said the same. It is a great space for commerce and transforming it may be in order but it can be done.
There are other campaigns around and as one official told us, we need a billionaire on board to make the type of changes we need. Well so far we don't have a billionaire but we are looking for the funding to get this project underway.
We are the dreamers that want to see the needed progress and change.
As one person so aptly put, the dream behind the International Bazaar was crushed by closed minded persons who felt it should not encourage so many foreigners to live here.
My answer is as it has always been, we are all travelers and to take on this land as only ours is crazy. See what happened with the Indians. Life happens. Let's move on to the next stage.
Foreigners do not take your job wherever in the world you are. They are there to contribute as are you and with the number of parents encouraging their children to go off to school and never come back to live, you ask, are these children guilty of taking someone's job in that country. If you can justify that, then you can understand other persons wanting to come and live in the country where you are a national.
Equality is something I don't feel we will ever reach. I am a female and in my country the men want me never to be equal. They would rather exploit my femininity that see me as an equal. Our laws backs them up. But that does not mean that I will stop trying to assert the need for equality.
We need to start looking toward a brighter day that is inclusive and not the cliques that say only "we" allowed.
Building your business cannot be held back by the narrow minded if you do not leave it only to the narrow minded.
More persons are needed to join the band wagon to not only only save the International Bazaar but the entire island but we want to start in one small place at a time. So join in the fight and lets make it work.
