Love and Business

Ok so this is late in April but Im just excited to see so many great things going on in Grand Bahama at the moment.

During the Fidelity Free Women's Seminar I left feeling a bit concerned about the future for many women here. One of the predictions that women would be in more poverty struck me to the core.

While I will put aside the reasons I will say the idea that more and more women are trying to find ways to improve their lot in life is the way forward.

How to do that?

Bringing up my kids my worries were always how to balance home and work. I worked hard long hours and my kids did not know me when they grew up, despite the fact that I did spend what I thought was a lot of time with them. But the payout was good enough to keep them and myself and to teach them what I thought to be good values. I cannot tell them as good as I can show them what I could like to see from them.

But I learned throughout life that many women struggle with the same question of balance... with or without a husband.

I can't wait to hear April Mason's take on the matter.

I applaud Renu for the work they are doing in promoting a better life for all on Grand Bahama. It's all a part of being the change we want to see in our country.

Get tickets early. Get seats early. Don't come fashionably late and miss out on a blessing.

Grand Bahama needs all of us doing better for it to be better.

They had added an even more special aspect to the event:

The team at RenuYou plan to give back to a deserving single mother.  Our event on April 30th, 3016 - Love and Business - " Finding your Balance" will give special recognition to a deserving single parent who may have fallen on difficult times.  We know many times women end up holding the brunt of responsibility when families fall apart and find themselves having to work hard to give their children the quality of life they were use to.  Additionally, with the hard economic times many single parents have had to restructure themselves financially in order to maintain the normalcy.

We have decided to have a special contest to honor a single mother in the Grand Bahama community.  The recipient will win a Spa Day (facial, hair, pedicure and massage) a $150 Solomon's/Cost Right Gift Card and $500 payment toward an outstanding bill of their choosing.

We will forward the rules of contest on Monday.

Please pass along the information and buy your tickets early to attend Love and Business - Finding your Balance Featuring - April Mason.
